Don’t get me wrong - I love travelling. I like how every day is different and unpredictable. I like that at least once week I tick of a bucket list wish. But there are downsides to being an expat/traveller too. It’s not all rainbows and unicorns; as hard as it is to believe, I’m not on some permanent holiday. Although the positives have far outweighed the negatives (many of the best days of my life have been travelling), I have thought of sacking it all in plenty of times and coming home when crying and missing home, feeling alone, lost, and scared.
